Jean Disley

Jean Disley was born in August 1929.

She was a mother to three beautiful children: Sharron, Gail and Jonathan. She was a beautiful woman inside and out and a devoted wife to her husband Kenneth Disley.

She sadly died of lung cancer and pneumonia in January of 2002. It was an overwhelming time for many to see her battle cancer, it was devastating to all concerned.

In honour of Jean Disley, and to help those that suffer and are left behind, the Jean Disley Foundation was created.

Her youngest child and only son, Jonathan Disley, decided that the Jean Disley Foundation would be the perfect way to honour the memory of his mother. Having the same generous and caring nature as his mother, he decided he wants to give back and help other people who are battling life-threatening illnesses.

Jonathan will raise as much money as possible and donate a percentage of his yearly earnings to each of his chosen charities:

  • Crohn’s and Colitis UK
  • The Christie Charity
